What kind of companies can be listed?

Any company or establishment formally registered in Egypt with a valid commercial register and tax card: LLCs, one-person companies, joint stock companies, sole proprietorships and partnerships. Unregistered activities are not accepted.

Will people know my company is for sale?

No. The public listing never shows your company name, brand or address. Buyers see a summary of the business and its figures, and the identity is only revealed to a buyer you approve after they accept the confidentiality agreement.

Which documents do you need to verify a company?

A recent commercial register extract (no older than 3 months), the tax card, the articles of incorporation or company gazette, the owner’s national ID, and a proof of authority if you are not the sole owner. You can also add a VAT certificate, social insurance printout and audited financial statements.

Who can see the documents I upload?

Verification documents are only visible to our review team and are never shown to buyers. Data room files are visible only to buyers whose requests you approved, and every download is logged.

How much does it cost to list?

Listing is currently free for both sellers and buyers during the launch period.

How long does the review take?

Most listings are reviewed within one business day. If we need a change or an extra document, we send you a clear note explaining what is required.

Does CompanyExit negotiate or handle payments?

No. CompanyExit is a platform for presenting opportunities and organising secure contact between the parties. We never hold funds and do not give financial or legal advice. We recommend involving a lawyer and a certified accountant before completing any deal.

How is company ownership transferred in Egypt?

It depends on the legal form: for LLCs and one-person companies, the articles are usually amended and shares transferred through GAFI; for sole proprietorships, the tangible and intangible assets are sold; for joint stock companies, shares are transferred under the applicable procedures. Your lawyer will confirm the right steps for your deal.
